Banjarmasin is the capital of Southern Kalimantan, Indonesia. Banjar has a rich history that is drawn from a mended of influence of proto-Malay and the native Dayaks, in addition to an assimilation of other cultures over the passage of millennium.
Like other regions on the Borneo island, the Kal-Sel region is composed of lush rain forests, near the equator, and a source of a variety of different products such as rubber, moringa, and in more recent history, kratom (mitragyna speciosa). The Kal-Sel strains are just like any other variety of kratom leaf, composed of the same 17 alkaloids, with the appropriate outcome associated with a red strain.
This Red Banjar botanical specimen has been wild harvested from the island of Java, from the river banks, and old growth rain forests that litter the South East Asian rain forest archipelago. Guaranteed fresh, organic, and always chemical free, Enhanciosa’s leaf is harvested ethically from small batch purveyors of the finest M. Speciosa that we’ve personally been able to procure on a reliable basis from within the greater region composed of the expansive, and beautiful – South East Asian archipelago.
Although named after the city, the variety is more realistically sourced from the surrounding vicinity, although it’s referred to as a Banjar colloquially, and/or locally.
